Virginia Tech picked up a handful of commitments from some visitors, and some of those commitments have vaulted four Hokies assistants into the Top 10 in the ACC. Offensive coordinator Ty Howle, defensive ine coach Sean Spencer, running backs coach Norval McKenzie, and wide receiver coach Fontel Mines are all in the Top 10 in the ACC.

So instead of playing 11 power conference schools, the Hokies will pick up home games, while Maryland will play two with Baylor. It should be noted and pointed out that Maryland was only playing Virginia Tech as a power conference school in the two years where the games were canceled. But because that doesn't fit the fanbase's narrative of trolling Franklin, they are going to turn their heads and look the other way with the truth.
